Shanghai Intellectual Property Service Industry Association

The SIPSA was formally established in Shanghai in April 2018 to better implement the "Guidance on Accelerating the Fostering and Development of Intellectual Property Services" jointly formulated by the State Intellectual Property Office and other nine ministries and commissions, the "Implementation Opinions on Strengthening the Use and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights to Support the Construction of Science and Technology Innovation Center" by the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, and the "Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Shanghai Intellectual Property Services" jointly formulated by the Shanghai Intellectual Property Office and other seven ministries and commissions, and to realize the strategic deployment and requirements of Shanghai as a "Science and Technology Innovation Center". The Shanghai Intellectual Property Office is the business unit in charge. The Association aims to "accelerate the cultivation and development of Shanghai's IP service industry, promote the creation, application, management, protection and service of IP, promote the deep integration of IP services and scientific and technological economic development, and enhance the level and capability of IP services in promoting scientific and technological innovation and economic and social development in the city". The existing membership covers IP information service, IP training service, IP application service, IP transfer and transformation service, IP rights protection service and IP financial service, forming a complete chain of IP services. The Association is committed to representing the voice of Shanghai's IP service providers, conducting external exchanges, moving towards an international level in terms of advanced technology, service concepts and practical experience, introducing external training, and promoting a solid foundation for the region's IP service industry to upgrade its capabilities. The Association will strive to become a platform for the majority of IP service workers to gather strength, exchange and build together, self-improvement and standardized development. We will promote the business development of our members in various fields of intellectual property, and improve our service level around the various rights subjects or implementation subjects as service targets in the management, creation, application and protection of intellectual property.
